Occupation:
Designer
Home:
Bushwick, Brooklyn
Spotted:
SoHo, NY What she's wearing: "Vintage sweater, a Hawaiian shirt from my mom, really really old Paper Denim jeans, and an old pair of Camper boots that used to be knee high, but I recently chopped down. Sometimes I feel like a cartoon character because I wear this Hawaiian shirt A LOT... like at least 3 times a week, if not day after day...and it's not exactly neutral."
Fave item in her closet: "A vintage dress that I think is from the 80s but is 20s inspired. It's got a high neck, some serious shoulder pads, and a cool draped skirt...and it's in this gold mustard color."
Inspirations: "Currently, 19th century Japan, but always hippies, friends, artists, and positive energy."
Fall look: Victorian gone grunge
Fall must-haves: "A flannel onesie--super easy to wear; a good wool cape--haute and chill at the same time; and a good pair of wool slouchy socks to wear with all shoes and outfits."
Fave shop: eBay
Style icons: Denise Huxtable, Katherine Hepburn, Annie Hall, Marc Bolan
Fave designers: "So many...John Galliano, Olivier Theyskens, Rodarte..."
How she'd describe her style: Relaxed, chill
Beauty buys: Nars Exhibit A blush and MAC Russian Red
Signature scent: Persian Garden by Kuumba Made. "It's my fave fragrance and is only $8 from Whole Foods!"
Worth the splurge: Skin care, shoes, food
Free-time fun: "Dancing, thrifting, reminiscing, looking for random funniness."
Social Network of choice: "None...I can't. I know I'd be really addicted and wouldn't get anything done."
Book that's bedside now: The Prophet by Khalil Gibran
How she's reducing her carbon footprint: "In anyway I can...not using too much water, reusing and recycling, taking the train, even showering less and doing laundry less. Every bit helps."
How she's going green in her work: "By incorporating sustainable fabrics and dying methods in the collection wherever possible."
Charity she supports: Endangered Species Coalition
