Style credo: "Never where something too recognizable and never set out to shop; when something catches your eye, grab it."
Top eateries, other than Estancia: "The Little Owl with a close friend; Mitali for Indian food; and Amsterdam Ale House for craft beer. But best of all is when my fisherman boyfriend cooks me some freshly-caught fluke."
Her signature dishes: "Bistecca sandwich for the bankers by day, linguini with cockles for the neighbors in the evening, grilled mozzarella and always a good Malbec."
Her kids' favorite at-home meal: Chili, which 2 days later becomes nachos

How's she reducing her carbon footprint: "I have a garden at my house out East, and it’s completely organic with compost from my own garbage. I never use air conditioning at home. It’s fake and a major contributor to some of the ills on this planet."
