Personal style: Modern staples mixed with eclectic accents like vintage pieces and original jewelry
When she knew she wanted to be a designer: "About 3 years ago when I was working as an attorney in NYC, not sleeping, and running to the corner bodega during lunch to buy magazines with Gemma Redux placements. I knew I wanted to be on the other side of that equation."
If she weren’t a designer, what she'd be: A line cook
What inspires her most: Stones. "I LOVE shopping for interesting stones and natural elements for the collection."
Designer she most admires: Diane Von Furstenberg. "We (the CFDA Fashion Incubator designers) had a little sit-down with her in her studio, and she talked about this enviable path to where she is now, with plenty of setbacks along the way; but she focused on living her life in the meantime. She’s amazing."
Her current “uniform:” Long-sleeve mini dress, tall vintage riding boots, cashmere cape and a fabulous necklace
Advice she’d give to anyone entering her field: "You need to go with your gut, listen to your heart, and make the collection that speaks to you."

What she'd never be caught dead wearing: A baby doll dress
Worth the splurge: "Any shoe that you love and that fits amazingly."
Cheap thrill: "One-off french manicures. I like to go in and get only red tips or some other random color on the ends."

Always in her bag: Chapstick and bobby pins for unruly curls
Music she grooves to: "Nothing beats The Roots when I’m designing."
