Own This Look

Wearing: Sweater by Pinkyottobowtie and skirt from American Apparel, Topshop shoes, Urban Outfitters tights, Laura Vela Lolita Bag (the very first bag she designed)

Fave item in her closet: Pink ballet shoes

Inspirations: "I am a big lover of fairy tales and nature, and I get inspiration from beautiful architecture. Exploring new cultures and meeting people with different world views challenges me to think about the person I want to be and the person I want to design for."

Look she loves:  Masculine/feminine contrast

Top shops: "I don’t have a favorite store. I love shopping in small, unknown boutiques all over the world to create an 'international' wardrobe."

Style icons: "My absolute style icon is James Dean. I also love Audrey Hepburn, Erin Wasson and Liya Kebede."

Designers she adores: "My very favorite is Hannah MacGibbon. I also love some Parisian elegance brought by French designers like Vanessa Bruno and Isabel Marant. And Karl Lagerfeld is just a genius."

Her personal style: "For me, a style goes beyond fashion. It is the way I move, express myself, the way I am as a person, how I treat my family and friends, how I react to different situations, how I remain calm when things go difficult. That’s my style. It is 100% me and who I am."

Beauty buys: Blush from T. LeClerc and Avene facial cleanser

Signature scent: Miss Dior Cherie

Worth the splurge: "Fist traveling, second fashion. I learn so much from everyone I meet and everything I experience when I travel. I wouldn’t change that for the prettiest and most beautiful dress in the world!"

Free-time fun: "I love to play the piano and sing. It helps me to relax. I love spending time surrounded by people that I love and care about, too. However, I am a very independent person who really needs some time alone. I love drinking a cup of tea on my terrace while reading a really good book. I really enjoy taking care of myself."

Music she grooves to: "My fave is Charlotte Gainsbourg. I also love 747 and CocoRosie."

Fave restaurants around the world: Bobo in New York; Kibuka in Barcelona; Miranda in Buenos Aires

How she stays fit: "I have never been to a gym. I love being surrounded by nature when I exercise. I love surfing (I got that from my dad) and skiing (I got that from my mom). And I take ballet classes once a week."

How she's reducing her carbon footprint: Rides a bike and recycles at home

Charity that's very important to her: NEED Ü. "It is a Spanish nonprofit organization created by some amazing and wonderful young entrepreneurs who really believe in getting the best part of everyone out to make things happen. I want to send a big hug to my very good friend Juan Fabregas, who is one of the founders of NEEDÜ. Please keep doing beautiful things as you always do.”
