Summer has officially begun. And while you're making your list of must-haves for the hot-weather season, be sure to add a nourishing hair treat to the list. The sun, salt and chlorine wreak havoc on hair, so extra moisture is a must if you want shiny, healthy strands. Consider Phillip Kingsley's Swimcap, which was launched at the behest of the Olympic Synchronized Swimming team. This super-conditioning cream helps protect against dryness, plus prevents colored hair from fading and blond locks from going green. Best time to use it? Fresh out of the shower when hair's damp.
What's a Why Knot? It's a sarong, a top, a tunic, a skirt, a cover up. It's the ultimate summer must have, in other words. Lightweight and available in a sunny array of shades, this versatile collection of summer pieces is designed by Fabiana Liburd from the laid-back and lovely island of Anguilla. Why Knots range in price from $65-$150 and will be available for sale beginning tomorrow on PinkClouds.com. Here, a slideshow of images of how to wear the Why Knot, plus the designer en famille.

Today's Beautiful Expert, designer Lisa Perry, whose designs are strongly influenced by the bold shades and shapes of the 60s, offers this advice when contemplating what to wear now: "Color makes people smile. And everyone looks great in a smile." Here, a slideshow of the colorful offerings inside Perry's eponymous shop, plus a series of smiling images of the designer on the street.

We chatted spring must-haves with Intermix and here are the top 5 things their customers are obsessing over now:

1) Bright Colors. They're pairing them with other brights to create a color-blocked effect or with crisp whites.

2) Boho Chic Maxis. They are very popular now, dressed up and dressed down, in prints--from great designers like Camilla--and solids--like the irresistible numbers from Splendid and Rag & Bone.

3) The Wedge. It is the key shoe for the season. We have irresistible wedges in-store from Bottega Veneta and Sergio Rossi, as well as a must-have exclusive from Pura Lopez.

4) The Scarf.  It is the best accessory to buy now and wear forever. A Bajra scarf can be worn several ways and can take a fashionable woman through many seasons--it can be worn traditionally or as a head wrap, bolero or sarong.

5) Bold Jewelry. A statement necklace or cuff adds instant flair to a basic look no matter the season.

We caught up with the groovy girls at Wanderlust, Emily and Abigail, and talked trends, travel, must-haves and more. Here, what they're going gaga over now:

"Although we're not huge fans of color, we have recently fallen in love with the elegance of gardens around New York City."

Favorite summer look: "Shredded Chiffon...the look, the feel, the movement."

Fave summer destination: Martha's Vineyard

Trends they're obsessing over: "Draped maxis and bigger-than-life sunglasses."

Aspect of their blog they find the most fun: "Coming up with themed photo shoots, traveling everywhere together, and making blog jokes."

On their symbiotic style: "Our sense of style is almost exactly the same. We dress as a pair to the point where her outfit is part of my outfit," adds Abigail.

Sang A, beloved bag designer and today's Beautiful Stranger, shares what her customers are  drooling over and what she's dying for now.
1) "My customers can't get enough of the Mini-Pop bags. Top two faves: The black-white brushed python and the embroidered black leather. It's such a cute shape that's easy to wear."
2) Must-Have Shoes. "I can't live without my floral Loeffler Randall Suno shoes. They are so comfortable and I get compliments wherever I go."
3) Best All-Time Accessory. "Definitely my Flash clutch. It is so versatile. I carry it everywhere, from weekend brunches to evening cocktails. I especially love the Flash collaboration I did with Daren Newman--he is a brilliant artist and I really enjoyed working with him."

Today's featured stranger, stylist Micah Johnson, has been receiving his share of attention lately. Check out his picture on page 121 of the May 2011 J. Crew Catalog, along with boyfriend and J. Crew designer, Somsack. According to a HuffPost piece of last week, LGBT advocates are singing J. Crew's praises for featuring the happy couple in its catalog.

We spoke to Jennifer Collins and Megan Freilich, owners of the fab online vintage retailer, Pink Clouds, about what their customers are obsessing over now, as well as what they consider current must-haves. Here, their top 5 picks:
1) "The Pink Clouds shopper is loving bold prints, especially when it comes to the perfect summer palazzo pant. The Ungaro pair at left is from the 70s and they kill me," says Jennifer.
Her personal spring style lusts:
2) & 3) Yigal Azrouel's "viva" print. "I already bought myself the dress, but I am dying for the pants, too.
4) Summer's almost here, and everyone needs a good flat to wear with summer dresses or their go-to denim shorts. These Bernardo Jungle Bell Sandals are our current favorites.
5) We consider the Celine Cuff 'one for the archives.' It's so clean and so striking. When does the Madison Avenue store open?!"
